Job summary

IKEA Food Service Team Member in New Haven, CT supports the IKEA Food concept by preparing and serving menu items while ensuring food safety and quality. You will respond to customer inquiries, handle transactions, and maintain clean dining areas and equipment to deliver a great guest experience.

This part-time role (12-20 hours) requires flexibility, weekend availability and adherence to FIFO and safety standards. Benefits eligibility is offered for eligible co-workers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept.
• Respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain equipment operation and conduct preventive/cleaning maintenance.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
• Oversee Swedish Food Market merchandising, pricing and stock rotation.
