Job summary

IKEA in New Haven, CT is hiring a Food Service Team Member to uphold operational excellence in IKEA Food. You will prepare menu items, assist customers, and ensure safe food handling in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
• Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items per concept with food safety standards.
• Respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions according to policies.
• Maintain equipment operation and conduct preventive and cleaning maintenance.
• Ensure dining and play areas are clean and organized.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation and sampling areas.
• Communicate prices accurately across digital platforms, boards and tags.
• Follow FIFO and stock rotation, report concerns to managers.
