Job summary

Raley's is seeking a Food Service Assistant Team Leader to support day-to-day operations in the Food Service department and help lead the team to success. You will demonstrate leadership, drive for results, and maintain high food safety and sanitation standards while delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves assisting with production, merchandising, coaching team members, and ensuring timely customer interactions in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and customer service oriented; interest in food a plus.
• Must display leadership; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service, restaurant, grocery or similar experience desired.
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail, quality and presentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read, understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet work schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Food Service Department Team Lead in all department tasks.
• Daily customer interactions.
• Prepare food, slice meats, assemble sandwiches, cook offerings.
• Share food knowledge with customers and team members.
• Lead, train, coach, and communicate with all team members in the department.
• Maintain food safety, safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee day-to-day production, merchandising and quality control of offerings.
• Drive department sales and manage labor and productivity.
