Job summary

Wadsworth Buehler's Fresh Foods seeks a Food Service Support to assist Restaurant Operations and various Food Service departments. You will work closely with the manager and teammates to ensure every customer has an exceptional experience in-store or in-restaurant.

Responsibilities include supporting FOH and BOH duties, stocking and rotating supplies, and maintaining sanitation standards. This role rewards teamwork and flexibility, with opportunities to grow within the Food Service department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs and occasionally 80 lbs.
• Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
• Work in a kitchen environment with equipment such as oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives; exposure to heat, steam, fire and noise.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Buss tables and ensure seating area is cleaned promptly after customers leave.
• Greet and seat guests when needed and assist with mentoring new employees.
• Ensure the dining room is spotless; maintain cleanliness of tables, floors, walls.
• Comply with sanitation requirements and health and personal hygiene standards.
• Wash dishes and put away in BOH; put away daily deliveries; maintain a spotless prep area and assist with cleaning as needed.

Job description

The Buehler’s Food Service Support is a key position within the Food Service Department. This position has the opportunity to support Restaurant Operations. They work closely with their manager and co‑workers to make sure that the customer has an exceptional experience either while shopping in our store or dining in our restaurant. Food Service Support will perform a variety of duties in various Food Service departments. This person's duties include supporting the kitchen and operating the Department's dishwashing equipment, putting stock away and rotating it on a daily basis, and cleaning/sanitation times. Secondary duties assume related activities as required or assigned.

A typical day for a Food Service Support may include:

FOH – Restaurant

• Buss tables to ensure they are cleaned promptly after customers leave
• Great and Seat guests when needed
• Assist with mentoring new employees
• Ensure the dining room is spotless – table, floors, walls – everything
• Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards

BOH – Food Prep Area

• Wash all dirty dishes and put them away in their assigned areas
• Put away daily deliveries
• Maintain a spotless area and assist with cleaning as needed in BOH
• Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards
