Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen teams inside a jail/correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of items, following menus and work instructions, and use a range of food preparation equipment.

The role reports to a Food Service Director and requires standing for long periods; prior institutional food service experience is preferred and a commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes; ensure proper portions meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for extended periods.
