Job summary

Aramark is hiring a full-time Food Service Supervisor in Tempe to oversee daily operations and staff under a manager. You will help coordinate schedules, maintain safety standards, and ensure menu-based service with high quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, sanitation training, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic food service environment. Occasional nights and catering events may be required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Sanitation course required before or during first year.
• Knowledge of operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (Production sheets and recipes).
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production that meets safety and quality standards.
• Ensure food items are stored safely and organized.
• Maintain serving schedules; serve per menu specifications and Aramark policies.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain weekly inventory accuracy.
• May prepare orders to ensure accurate production for location.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
• Keep a safe and hazard-free working environment.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain equipment maintenance logs and preventive checks.
• Complete food safety/temperature logs with corrective actions when needed.
• Perform maintenance checklists and recommend equipment replacements.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Fill in for absent employees at location as needed.
• Coordinate awareness of daily catering events and ensure timely delivery.
• Occasionally work night and weekend catered events.
• Attend food service meetings and communicate with staff.
• Possibly perform cashier duties if required.
• Promote good public relations.
