Trinity Services Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve meals following menus and use kitchen equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and nutrition standards.

The role reports to a Food Service Director, works on site in a jail environment, and requires a high school diploma or GED with preferred institutional food service experience.

About This Position

$15/hr + $1,000 new hire bonus

Rotating Shifts: 330am-1130am, 900am-5pm & 11am-7pm

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Required:
• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred:
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
