TKC Holdings, Inc. is hiring a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside the Sampson County Jail.

You will supervise shifts, ensure meals are prepared to menu specifications, and maintain sanitation standards in a correctional kitchen. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior institutional food service experience is preferred, and the ability to work as part of a team or independently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and kitchen staff during shifts.
• Prepare and serve food according to menus and recipes.
• Ensure sanitary storage and handling of all food.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety regulations.
• Assist with portions and dishwashing.

About This Position

This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Sampson County Jail.

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred:
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
