Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen teams inside a jail/correctional facility. The role requires working some weekends/holidays, five days a week, with a scheduled closer shift from 10:30am to 6:15pm.

You will prepare and serve a variety of food items, follow menus, train staff, and ensure a safe, compliant operation while reporting to a Food Service Director. On-site work with potential growth opportunities within the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and at least 18 years old.
• Experience in institutional food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Use utensils and equipment to cook and portion meals per recipes.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote health and safety in the kitchen environment.
• Stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as needed.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

5 days per week

Closer: 10:30am - 6:15pm

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Required:
• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
