Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals following menus and safety guidelines, reporting to the Food Service Director.

Hours are 11am–7pm with a weekend/holiday rotation; a $250 bonus is offered after program completion and DailyPay is available to access earned wages. A high school diploma or GED is required and prior institutional food service experience

• Prior institutional food service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Cook using recipes and proper utensils to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a safe, healthy work environment for staff and inmates.
• Be able to stand, lift, bend and move for extended periods.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

Hours will be 11am to 7pm with a rotation on days.

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
