Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage inmate labor and the kitchen team in a correctional facility. You will oversee food preparation, ensure meals meet dietary guidelines, and train staff on procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, knowledge of food handling regulations, and the ability to adapt quickly. This on-site role requires weekend/holiday availability and a shift from 11am to 7pm with rotation days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, and at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and procedures.
• Use utensils/equipment to cook and portion food meeting nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical duties as needed.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

Hours will be 11am to 7pm with a rotation on days.

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
