Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. to oversee inmate labor and the kitchen team inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of menu items, following recipes and health guidelines, while ensuring accurate portioning and efficient service.

Must have open availability to work 5:30am to 2:00pm, with some weekends and holidays. The role leads training for food service staff, maintains a safe work environment, and supports the Food Service Director in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food and portion meals to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for employees and inmates.
• Stand and move for extended periods; physical demands apply.

About This Position

Must have open availability to work between the hours of: 5:30am - 2:00pm (some weekends and Holidays required)

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You’ll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
