Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with food preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and help complete daily reports. The role emphasizes high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety, with responsibilities spanning from food prep to equipment care and cleaning.

The position requires following established procedures, working under pressure, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.

Qualifications

• Read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments to improve appearance and customer happiness.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling and storage.
• Adhere to the uniform policy.
• Connect with the Manager daily to plan the day’s menu.
• Supervise food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Scrub and polish counters and sanitize tables and equipment.
• Follow procedures to maintain a balanced and safe environment; duties like sweeping and ware washing.
• Maintain garbage collection sites and kitchen floors in a neat, sanitary fashion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
