Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Food Service Receiver on a per diem basis for Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. Shift: Day shift, 4:30am - 1:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation. You will manage orders, receipt and delivery of supplies, and ensure sanitation compliance on site.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with related duties as needed. Per diem status applies with opportunities for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus additional courses or training.
• At least one year of food service experience.
• Ability to perform posting, record-keeping and filing functions with accuracy.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Place orders with vendors and ensure proper receipt, storage and delivery of supplies and food items.
• Ensure sanitation requirements are met and inspect received items.
• Deliver received equipment and supplies to departments in a timely manner.
• Trace and expedite any problem items as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Food Service Manager Operations or Manager Culinary , Food & Nutrition or Designee, places orders with vendors, perform a variety of duties in ensuring proper receipt, storage and delivery of various supplies and food items according to established procedures. Ensure that various sanitation requirement are met. Inspect and record various supplies and equipment shipped or received. Deliver received equipment and supplies to applicable department areas in a timely manner. Trace and expedite all problem items as needed. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school or the equivalent required plus additional courses or training.
• Minimum of one year food service experience required.
• Ability in simple posting, recording keeping and filing functions.
• Ability to determine accuracy of various packing lists.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $16.98 - USD $27.60 /Hr.
