Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College seeks a part-time Food Service Worker to assist customers with food ordering, preparation, presentation, and accurate payment transactions. Under the Café Supervisor, you will handle food and paper goods and operate restaurant equipment to prepare high-quality foods.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down the prep station, stocking supplies, maintaining health and safety standards, and performing light clerical duties at opening/closing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and be dependable.
• Punctual and able to follow varied schedules.
• Pre-employment background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with food ordering, preparation, presentation, and accurate payments.
• Operate various restaurant equipment to prepare high-quality foods.
• Open/close the prep station and set up service areas.
• Stock and stock-check food, disposables, and beverage items; maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Balance cash and credit card payments; complete daily paperwork as needed.
