Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to plan, coordinate and control all activities related to the food production system and retail programs. You will assume authority during the Food Service Director's absence and ensure compliant operations.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and people management skills, with attention to safety, sanitation, and compliance with ARAMARK standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with clients, customers and staff.
• Ability to write letters, summaries and reports following prescribed formats.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain friendly, efficient customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers.
• Be responsive to customer needs.
• Assist in budgeting and develop short- and long-term financial/operational plans.
• Plan, direct, coordinate and control Food Service Department resources.
• Oversee food production area and cost control measures.
• Monitor unit performance via customer satisfaction and financial reports.
• Recommend or initiate corrective action.
• Maintain quality standards and sanitation.
• Address age-related needs of patients/residents.
• Support retail services program and HR functions.
• Supervise all food production staff and manage schedules.
• Plan menus with food production and other staff.
• Estimate costs and requisition supplies.
• Inspect food and preparation for quality and safety.
• Maintain safety training and OSHA compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ARAMARK standards and policies.
• Maintain all records to meet ARAMARK/HC/Site requirements.
