Christ Community Chapel in Hudson, OH is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant to support hospitality at church events, coffee hours, and large meals for up to 1000 people. This role reports to the Food Service Director and offers flexible hours to accommodate church activities.

Ideal candidates will have prior food service experience, a collaborative mindset, and a heart for service. ServSafe certification is preferred, and the position requires evening/weekend availability.

Description

The Food Service Assistant will play an integral role in providing excellence in hospitality at Christ Community Chapel (CCC). Our food service team meets a number of church needs, from providing coffee and snacks to executing large-scale meals for 1000 people. This is a part-time, flexible position and reports to the Food Service Director.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in preparing and serving meals at various events at CCC facilities.
• Clean and maintain kitchen and coffee facilities and assist in monitoring inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies.
• Provide friendly and attentive service to all church members and guests.
• Contribute positively to Food Service team and volunteer culture.
• Participate fully as a staff member at CCC.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Prior food service and/or kitchen experience.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends along with flexibility for other shifts.
• Ability to collaborate and connect relationally with people.
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to quick change.
• Committed to the mission and vision of Christ Community Chapel.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout church facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
