Huck's in Indiana seeks a Food Service Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring profitability and high quality customer service in the food service department. You will oversee opening hours, scheduling, staff training, compliance with laws, and safety, while maintaining inventory control and strong merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

• Open and be ready for business during all scheduled hours
• Schedule associates to meet business demands using fixed schedule
• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
• Communicate effectively with store associates and management
• Follow all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the operation
• Model professional conduct for associates
• Control department expenses
• Ensure proper uniform and customer service
• Maintain bookkeeping—accurate and timely paperwork
• Maintain inventory and loss controls
• Conduct inventories as directed by management
• Ensure associates record hours worked correctly
• Treat all associates with dignity and respect using proper personnel management techniques
• Ensure associates receive breaks
• Inform Store Manager of personnel issues affecting performance
• Train new associates on their duties
• Enforce shift procedures and safe working environments
• Ensure safety rules and PPE usage
• Monitor merchandising sign programs and plan-o-grams
• Place orders to prevent stockouts and maintain inventory levels
• Maintain clean food service areas and display cases
• Report maintenance issues promptly to Store Manager
• apply sanitation procedures in all food service areas
• Promote Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App and explain benefits to customers
• Monitor app transactions for misuse of points or discounts
• Assist customers with signup and app usage for discounts
