Food Service Manager

General Summary

The Food Service Manager is responsible for maximizing food service sales, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining quality and safety standards, managing inventory, and controlling costs. Building and motivating a high-performing team is also essential.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of all Food Service areas, including Made to Order Food, Commissary Food, Bakery, and Beverages (coffee, fountain, slush), both self-service and full-service.
  • Deliver superior service to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Respond efficiently to customer complaints.
  • Organize and supervise staff shifts.
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and coach team members.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Control operational costs, waste, and lost sales.
  • Order and maintain inventory levels.
  • Train staff on customer service practices.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new employees as needed.
  • Enforce company procedures and protocols.
  • Perform other store tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
Customer Service
  • Provide the best customer experience.
  • Greet customers warmly and sincerely.
  • Suggest purchases and promote specials.
  • Execute Nouria's customer service program at the store level.
Safety & Station Appearance
  • Minimize safety risks for employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure staff are trained on safety policies.
  • Maintain safety and security of the store.
  • Manage store maintenance and environment.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support safety and health programs.
  • Report and investigate accidents or incidents.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new employees.
  • Inspect for hazards and initiate corrective actions.
  • Encourage reporting of unsafe conditions.
Qualifications
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role.
  • Proven customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of food service and coffee equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
Physical Requirements
  • Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and appearance.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Access all store areas.
  • Sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Stand for prolonged periods.
