Job summary

Elior Collegiate Dining in Frostburg is seeking an experienced dining hall manager to supervise food production, purchasing, and sanitation for resident dining. You will lead BOH teams, ensure quality and safety, and uphold exceptional dining experiences for students at Frostburg State University.

We value strong leadership and communication, proficiency with CBORD, and a track record of managing high-volume operations in higher education.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ progressive culinary management experience preferably within a higher education setting.
• Previous experience in high volume batch cooking.
• Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing high-volume dining hall food production while ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety standards are maintained.
• Providing culinary leadership and direction to back-of-house (BOH) teams to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a positive dining experience.
• Utilizing CBORD for menu planning, forecasting, and production management.
• Managing food ordering, inventory control, and product utilization to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiencies.
• Leading daily team huddles to communicate operational priorities, expectations, and updates.
• Coaching, training, and developing culinary team members to promote accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated dining hall manager to our Collegiate Dining team in Frostburg. As a dining hall manager, you will have the opportunity to supervise the food production process including purchasing, food specifications, meal preparation, service and sanitation for resident dining hall.

What you'll be doing:

Overseeing high-volume dining hall food production while ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety standards are maintained.

Providing culinary leadership and direction to back-of-house (BOH) teams to ensure efficient daily operations.

Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a positive dining experience.

What we're looking for:
