Job summary

Elior Collegiate Dining is seeking an experienced cook for our Frostburg, MD location in the Education division. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen at the FSU Dining Hall, preparing high-quality meals and contributing to a team focused on growth.

The role emphasizes scratch cooking, quality control, safety, and creative presentation in a campus dining environment. Onsite position with opportunities for skill development within Elior North America.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and identify food items.
• Customer service experience is required.

We are looking to add an experienced cook to work with a highly motivated and energetic kitchen staff in our Frostburg, MD location for our education division. As a cook for Elior Collegiate Dining, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, efficient environment and cook delicious meals. What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking


• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.


• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.


• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items.


• Customer service experience is required.

Nice-to-haves:

• Food handlers’ certification
