KIRKSVILLE R-III SCHOOL DISTRICT

POSITION TITLE: Food Service Line Worker

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• All Food Service employees must pass the Basic Food Sanitation Course
• Ability to follow printed menus and recipes
• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, coworkers, and staff
• Ability to lift 40 lbs from 0 to 38 inches
• Ability to finish assigned tasks on schedule

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED:

• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required

CONTRACT DAYS WORKED: Follows the school calendar

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Wage and work calendar to be established by the Board of Education.

REPORTS TO: Unit Leader and Food Service Director

JOB GOAL: To facilitate students receiving nourishing meals

• The employee must have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs from 0 to 38 inches
• Food service work can involve exposure to hot, cold, and loud environments
