Job summary

Cumberland Farms in Portland, ME seeks a high-energy, team-oriented lead for our food operations. You will assist with managing the location’s food business, ensuring fast, quality food and strong food safety practices. You’ll coach staff and support the Store or Brand Manager to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

The role emphasizes guest service, training, and maintaining safe, clean, and well-presented food areas, with varied hours including day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School or GED.
• Minimum Experience: 6 months retail or food experience.
• Preferred Experience: 1 year in retail, service or restaurant environment.
• Licenses/Certifications: Serv Safe Certified a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
• Manage food stock levels, costs, waste, preparation, presentation and safety for hot/cold items.
• Oversee cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance of food service area and equipment.
• Meet Company goals for food sales (pizza, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, etc).
• Provide training, feedback, coaching and direction to team members on food prep and safety.
