Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist with food preparation, portioning meals, and serving customers. You will learn on the job and connect with people we serve, while maintaining a positive attitude every day.

The role involves cooking, portion control, keeping logs, and ensuring clean, safe serving areas. You will work under the guidance of a manager and may support concessions, catering, or special events as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting/transporting hot items.
• Ability to work in kitchen areas with heat, steam, noise and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in food preparation and station setup.
• Set up and break down stations as directed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods following recipes and directions.
• Use correct portions for serving items on the line.
• Maintain daily temperature logs and quality checks.
• Take samples of items before serving customers.
• Inform management of quality issues and pull unsafe items.
• Complete opening/closing station checklists and sanitation tasks.
• Greet customers and address service questions or complaints with a positive attitude.
