Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving, learning on the job with guidance from a manager. Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Serve Safe Certification required/desired.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Requires frequent lifting and transporting hot food items.
• Work in kitchen areas with heat, steam, noise and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of food item preparation for the day and dating products.
• Coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Ensure accurate portions when preparing and serving items.
• Maintain daily temperature logs and sample items prior to serving.
• Alert management to items not meeting quality standards and pull them.
• Complete opening and closing station checklists.
• Greet and assist customers on the serving line; handle complaints with a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean work station and sanitize utensils.
• Ensure safe disposal of waste from the service line.
• Transport supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assist with daily safety observations and report hazards.
• Cross-train as needed; work in concessions, catering, events.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisor and lead line staff for timely service.
