Job Purpose

Each Huck's Market Food Service Associate plays a key role in ensuring the food service area runs smoothly and efficiently. By following company guidelines, Associates help maintain profitability while delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

• Ensure the food service department is open and ready during service hours
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers
• Communicate effectively with store associates
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations
• Manage food preparation to minimize waste while ensuring enough supply for customers

Human Resources

• Treat all associates with dignity and respect
• Report personnel issues or policy violations to the store manager
• Assist in training new associates

Security

• Follow shift procedures
• Maintain a safe shopping and working environment
• Use all safety equipment and follow safety rules

Merchandising

• Use current plan-o-grams
• Communicate needs to the manager
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering

Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App

• Promote the app to customers
• Explain benefits and assist with sign-up
• Monitor for misuse of points or discounts

Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of food service areas
• Report maintenance issues

Safety

• Use ladders properly
• Follow lifting procedures
• Use wet floor signs as needed
• Report accidents promptly
