Job Title:

Food Service Associate

Job Purpose

To ensure the food service area runs smoothly and effectively, helping the department stay profitable while delivering top-quality food and customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the food service department is open and ready during operational hours.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
• Communicate effectively with store associates.
• Follow all relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage food preparation to prevent waste while maintaining sufficient supply for customers.

Additional Responsibilities

• Treat all associates with dignity and respect.
• Report personnel issues or policy violations.
• Assist in training new associates.

Security and Safety

• Follow all shift procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
• Use protective equipment and report accidents promptly.

Merchandising and Promotions

• Use current plan-o-grams.
• Communicate needs or requests to managers.
• Help prevent out-of-stocks and maintain inventory levels.

Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App

• Promote the app to customers.
• Explain benefits and assist with sign-up and usage.
• Monitor transactions for misuse.

Maintenance and Cleanliness

• Maintain the appearance of food service areas.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Follow sanitation procedures.

Safety Procedures

• Use ladders properly.
• Follow lifting procedures.
• Use wet floor signs as needed.
• Report accidents immediately.
