Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a Food Service Worker to support meal preparation, serve customers, and maintain a clean, safe dining area.

You will collaborate with cooks, follow safety standards, and provide friendly service in a fast-paced environment at our 55 Fruit Street location. This regular, onsite role offers 40 hours weekly and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Education: Some High School Completed.
• Experience: 0-1 year in a related role.
• Strong customer service and teamwork orientation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with daily meal preparation, including cutting, peeling, slicing, salads, desserts, and plating.
• Take customer orders, accommodate special requests, and serve meals promptly and accurately.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service, answer questions, address concerns, and make menu suggestions.
• Maintain clean dining areas by clearing tables, washing dishes, and cleaning surfaces.
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, and other kitchen equipment while following proper sanitation practices.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure safe food preparation and service.
• Work collaboratively with cooks and other team members to keep daily operations running smoothly.

As a Food Service Worker, you'll help create a welcoming dining experience by supporting meal preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area.

What You’ll Do

Assist cooks with daily meal preparation, including cutting, peeling, slicing, salads, desserts, and plating.
