Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will clean and sanitize dishes, ensure proper storage, and help maintain a sanitary, organized work area in a fast-paced environment. Reports to Kitchen Manager(s) and the Chef Team.

You should be willing to stand for long periods and adapt to busy service times. Previous dish pit experience is preferred, and you will uphold sanitation requirements while supporting the team in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced dish pit environments is preferred.

• Demonstrates knowledge of sanitation and kitchen hygiene procedures.

• Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment, including utensils, pots, and pans.
• Work with kitchen team to ensure proper storage of dishes and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
• Empty and clean trash and recycling receptacles, with proper waste separation.
• Maintain a sanitary and organized work environment.
• Follow company policies and procedures and cleaning schedules.

Title: Dishwasher

Reports to: Kitchen Manager(s) and Chef Team

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment, including utensils, pots, and pans ensuring they meet standards for safe food preparation

Work with kitchen team to ensure dishes and equipment are stored properly

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces

Empty and clean trash and recycling receptacles while ensuring proper waste separation

Maintain a sanitary and organized work environment

Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures

Maintain cleaning schedules to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed

Perform other tasks as deemed necessary

Job Requirements

Must be willing and able to work standing for long periods of time.

Experience with fast-paced dish pit environment preferred.

Ability to push through dishes and organize area as necessary to the business.

Experience with MSDS knowledge and upholds active practice of cleanliness in the dish area while maintaining protocol for dish liquid use.

Responsibly geared towards presenting a clean and welcome experience for guests through upholding sanitation requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Eligible for overtime pay.
