Job description

Job Overview

As the Food Service Dining Orderly, you must be able to perform a variety of duties to facilitate food service and housekeeping service.

Responsibilities

• Work in the dish room / pot area: wash, rinse, and sanitize all pots, pans, dishes, glassware, bakeware, utensils, and cutting boards.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize all floors and DFAC associated workspaces (kitchen, storerooms, public restrooms).
• Remove all DFAC-generated garbage.
• Keep all FOH equipment cleaned and sanitized.
• Keep all dining room tables and chairs clean.
• Escort local nationals working in support of DFAC operations.
• Assist in receiving and putting away deliveries; ensure all consumables are constantly stocked in the DFAC.
• Keep all beverage, dessert, and soup stations fully stocked.
• Keep beverage coolers stocked and rotated.
• Keep all shelves stocked and rotated.
• Inform Site Lead of any issues promptly regarding equipment, stock, and supplies.

Knowledge & Skills

Basic knowledge of the job and an acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience. Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with assignment.

Physical Requirements

• Perform proper bending, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying extreme temperature environments ranging from very hot in the summer to very cold in the winter.
• May be required to work outside at times.
