Job summary

Sandy Health and Rehab in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Part Time Dietary Aide to support meals service for residents on weekends (3pm - 8pm). This role contributes to dietary safety and quality by preparing meals, reviewing dietary instructions, and assisting with tray delivery in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in institutional kitchens; SNF cooking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold meals and beverages according to menus, recipes, and dietary needs.
• Review tray cards for allergies, preferences, and special instructions.
• Assemble meal trays with correct dishware and adaptive equipment.
• Serve meals and assist with delivery to residents.
• Prepare and stock snack carts.
• Clean dishes, utensils, and food prep areas after use.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Attend trainings/meetings and support additional assigned tasks.

What you'll do:

What we're looking for:

• High school diploma, equivalent, or enrollment in current high school courses
• Experience working in the kitchen of institutions that provide meals to large groups on a daily basis
• Experience cooking in a Skilled Nursing Facility a plus

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

• Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting objects
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility
