Job summary

J&H Family Stores is seeking a friendly team member to greet customers, prepare orders, and use the POS to record and collect payment. You will ensure accuracy, deliver quick service, and maintain a clean, welcoming counter area.

Responsibilities include preparing food neatly and promptly, understanding menu items, restocking prep areas, following safety and sanitation standards, and keeping a professional appearance. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math.
• Experience: Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
• Ability to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability: Must be able to work a varied schedule and on weekends and holidays.
• Physical: Must be able to operate a POS system and handle physical tasks during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and prepares orders, records the order in the POS and collects payment.
• Prepares food neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Explains menu items cheerfully and accurately to customers.
• Checks prep area items and restocks to ensure sufficient supply.
• Adheres to quality standards, formulas or portion controls.
• Follows food handling, safety and sanitation standards and logs temps and dates.
• Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness around the workstation.
• Maintains professional appearance as per handbook and franchise standards.
• Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
