Job summary

J&H Family Stores is hiring to prepare food, process payments, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will greet customers, take orders, operate the POS, prepare food, restock, maintain safety standards, clean, and perform light paperwork. Availability on weekends and holidays is required. Education includes some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and prepares their orders, uses POS/cash register to record the order, collects payment and makes change.
• Prepares food neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains to customers accurately and in a cheerful and helpful manner.
• Checks products in prep area and restocks items to ensure sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas or portion controls.
• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food, serving food and cleanup, including checking dates and temperatures and logging the information.
• General housekeeping and cleaning.
• Maintains professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
