Job summary

J&H Family Stores is seeking a QSR Clerk - Level I to greet customers, take orders, and manage payments at the counter. You will prepare food, explain menu items, restock prep areas, and ensure safety and quality standards are followed.

The role requires friendliness in a fast-paced setting, with weekend/holiday availability and ability to operate a POS system. Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance as outlined by the team.

Qualifications

• Education: Some high school or equivalent with ability to read and perform math.
• Experience: Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
• Ability to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and prepares their orders, uses Point of Sale system to record the order and collects payment.
• Prepares food neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Explains menu items cheerfully and accurately to customers.
• Checks prep area and restocks items to ensure supply throughout the shift.
• Adheres to quality standards, formulas or portion controls.
• Follows proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food prep and service.
• Performs general housekeeping and cleaning.
• Maintains professional appearance and grooming as per handbook and franchise standards.
• Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
