Fresh Grocer in Colonia, NJ is seeking a Food Service Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and support in the Food Service department. You will assist in daily operations, prepare products, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe handling and storage of items, following company policies.

Responsibilities include serving customers, promoting charitable promotions, stocking and rotating products, and adhering to QA and safety standards. Excellent attendance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing, speaking English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for full shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly, up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly customer service and ask for product recommendations.
• Assist Food Service Manager in daily department operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing department.
• Prepare products (salads, sandwiches, pizzas, etc.) per recipes and standards.
• Ensure proper temperatures in display cases and storage areas.
• Follow procedures for receiving, storing, and pricing products.
