Job summary

Rockhill Group seeks a Food Service Worker to perform contract dining duties at Fort Polk, LA. You will operate stations, serve portions, assist cooks, and maintain clean, organized dining and dish areas.

Responsibilities include food preparation assistance, dishwashing, sanitation, and adherence to safety and PPE guidelines while working varied shifts and lifting up to 40–50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must understand oral and/or written instructions.
• Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
• Must pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Set up hot and cold food serving stations.
• Serve customers properly sized portions at sufficient rates.
• Remove or refill hot and cold food items.
• Communicate with cooks, food runners, and supervisors when food items run low or run out.
• Properly store and label food items.
• Clean salad and beverage bar areas and clean spills immediately.
• Refill napkin, straw, toothpick, and other dispensers.
• Pre-wash, scrub, sort, separate, and put away dishes and utensils.
• Scrub pots, pans, and utensils.
• Sweep, vacuum, and/or mop flooring.
• Deck-scrub tile and concrete floors.
• Empty trash cans and deposit trash in appropriate receptacles.
• Police grounds for trash and debris.
• Attend TRG in-service training as required.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and follow safety guidelines.
