This position involves preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, visitors, and catering clients. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation of equipment and work areas, handling cash register operations, and washing dishes used in food preparation and service.

Essential Responsibilities

• Follow proper food handling, portioning, and storage procedures according to departmental standards and regulations. Maintain adequate stock of food items and supplies. (20%)
• Operate register and communicate menu, specials, and pricing to customers. (20%)
• Perform dish and pot room duties efficiently to ensure availability of clean supplies. (20%)
• Dispose of trash following proper procedures and sanitize containers to meet sanitation standards. (20%)
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements. (20%)
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.
• Basic computer and math skills, including handling cash and making change.

Preferred:

• Experience in food services.
