Food Service Associate - (12 - 20 hrs / wk)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Associate to join our team at IKEA, working 12 to 20 hours per week. This role involves preparing food, serving customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards are met. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept, adhering to food handling, health, and sustainability standards.
  2. Respond to customer inquiries and process transactions accurately, following cash handling policies.
  3. Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of all food service areas and utensils.
  4. Manage the Swedish Food Market, overseeing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitation of sampling equipment.
  5. Ensure accurate pricing communication across all platforms and maintain proper stock rotation following FIFO and expiration dates.
  6. Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations, reporting concerns promptly.
  7. Contribute to a diverse and inclusive environment that reflects IKEA’s culture.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in high-volume customer-facing environments.
  • Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $17.24 - $24.58. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, discount programs, health insurance options, retirement plans, and more.
