UnityPoint Health in Rock Island, IL is seeking a flexible Food Service Assistant to prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals and snacks, acting as a liaison between kitchen and patient care units.

You will provide friendly service, follow diet specifications, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment while supporting our dedicated Nutrition Services team in a Top 150 healthcare employer.

Competenze

• Previous food service experience preferred
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions
• Must speak, read, and understand English
• Must obtain Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire.

• Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient trays, snacks, and nourishments per diet specifications
• Serve patients, guests, and cafeteria customers with excellent customer service
• Follow portion control, cash handling, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, OSHA, TJC)

• Stock patient units, retail areas, and storage rooms, and monitor food and equipment temperatures

Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00PM-8:00PM (1-2 days a week)+ rotating weekends & holidays
