Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a full-time Food Service Associate in Pontiac, MI. You will work in Cafeteria, Catering, Cold Food Preparation, Trayline, and/or Dishroom, with a rotating shift and in-person duties.

Responsibilities include setting up/serving food, cashiering, assembling flatware and patient trays, preparing basic cold items, and transporting trays to patient care areas, in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to read and write required.
• One year experience in a commercial restaurant or food service department preferred.

Required Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write required.

Experience

• One year previous experience in a commercial restaurant or a food service department preferred.

Working Conditions

• Works in assigned area under generally comfortable working conditions with exposure to splashing water, and cleaning agents. Occasional exposure to extreme working conditions (hot and cold).
• Standing 100% of the time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds from floor to shoulder level or shoulder to floor.
• Ability to push carts containing food trays weighing up to 100 pounds.
