Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a Food Service Worker at Chelsea Hospital to prepare, assemble, and deliver meals for patients and staff. The role involves setting up tray lines, stocking stations, reading tray tickets, and delivering meals to patient rooms with attention to quality and safety guidelines.
Flexible shift schedules with rotating weekends/holidays are expected; on-the-job training is available.
This is a posting designed to recruit for multiple positions including Full-Time, Part-time and Contingent roles available at the Chelsea Hospital. With all positions the expectation is that rotating weekends and holidays will be required, and flexibility to cover different shifts is preferred.
The Food Service Worker position is responsible for a variety of activities involved in the preparation, processing, presentation, and delivery of food for the organization.
Pay starting at $15.82 or higher based on experience
Ability to read, write and perform math calculations
The physical activities of this position involve: Frequent, balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, grasping, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, repetitive motion. Pushing delivery carts 10-15 times/8 hour shift.(8-17 lb push/pull force) Pushing sweep carts 4-5 times/8 hour shift.(1 – 25 lb push/pull force) Able to walk 8-12 miles/shift. The essential sensory and communicative activities include: Feeling, seeing, speaking, hearing, smelling. An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in the following range: > 10 lbs. < 35 lbs. Actual push/pull measurements range 1 lb force to 35 lb lift. (Complete push pull measurements for specific tasks available in Food Service Office or Employee Health) An individual in this position may be exposed to the following environmental conditions when performing the duties of this job: Rare exposure to blood and body fluids Extreme heat (over 100 degrees) Extreme cold (below 32 degrees) Physical Hazards (e.g. electric current) Chemical hazards (cleaning fluids)
