Job description

Position: Food Service Associate

Reports to: Store Manager

Purpose of Position: We will rely on you to make sure each guest receives prompt and reliable service.

As a Food Service Associate, you will need to have a strong commitment to teamwork, good communication skills, and be adaptable to change.

Customer Service Associates are responsible for:

• Maintaining the store to the needs of management while giving excellent customer service to each guest.
• Completing customer transactions by scanning products or manually keying prices into the register, finalizing sales, and collecting payments from customers.
• Ensuring compliance with age-restricted products such as tobacco, alcohol, and lottery.
• Preparing food and beverages in a manner that meets customer expectations.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other food service guidelines.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store, register area, and backroom.
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area.
• Properly operating cooking equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness outside of the store.
• Ensuring all deliveries are made according to company policy.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment adhering to company safety methods.
• Properly recording time worked.
• Completing daily paperwork and record-keeping.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-6 months’ work experience.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must successfully complete company training.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to traverse all parts of the location quickly.
• Prolonged periods of standing on a hard surfaced floor.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds at a time.
