Job summary

Valor Oil's Hop Shops division is seeking a Food Service Associate to work across multiple stations. Immediate start with a team-focused environment reporting to the Store Manager or Food Service Manager.

You will set up, prep, and serve in kitchen areas, ensure food safety and temperatures, and assist with restocking and cleaning. The role offers competitive benefits and weekly pay options in Lewisport, KY.

Responsibilities

• Sets up food service, kitchen, or prep area facilities, under detailed instruction; operates equipment as assigned.

• Sets up hot and cold food lines and ensures proper temperatures and equipment.
• Prepares or assists in preparing hot/cold foods, beverages, and sandwiches.
• Replenishes foods, plasticware, and condiments at serving stations; may restock supplies.
• Monitors equipment and supplies; identifies spoiled food or faulty equipment and addresses issues.
• Cleans and maintains work areas and service ware; handles waste per procedures.

Description

Hop Shops, a division of Valor Oil is looking for a Food Service Associate. Food Service Associate will work a variety of stations on any given shift. You will report to the Store Manager or the Food Service Manager where applicable. You need to be a team player who can effectively communicate with employees to keep things running efficiently.

Start: Immediate

Location: Lewisport, KY

Schedule: Multiple available

Pay: $15.00 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Sets up food service, kitchen, or prep area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
• Conveys food and supplies from the main kitchen, bakery, and/or food preparation area to the serving site either by carrying or by utilizing a motorized cart.
• Follows prescribed procedures in setting up hot and cold food lines; ice cream, yogurt, and/or ice machines; chooses proper utensils and sets to appropriate temperature for menu items.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold foods, beverages, sandwiches, as appropriate to the position.
• Replenishes foods, plasticware, dishes, and trays at serving stations; may order and replenish condiments.
• Attends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies; detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
• May clean, wash, and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.
