Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a dependable kitchen staff member to support daily food preparation and service for visitors, staff, and patients. You will wash, slice, and mix ingredients, serve meals in the cafeteria, and assist with tray assembly while maintaining clean work areas.

Good teamwork and willingness to follow safety guidelines are essential as you help deliver nutritious meals in a fast-paced hospital setting. Training provided; on-site role with no travel required.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required, on-the-job training provided
• Ability to follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food.
• You will prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• You will operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• You will clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
• You will assist with food stocking.
• You will serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room.
• You will work in the dish room when needed.
• You will work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
