Summary: The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking, cleaning equipment, handling payments via a computerized register, and other related duties.

Job Description:

• Complies with HACCP guidelines for food safety.
• Provides outstanding customer service and communicates effectively with patrons and co-workers.
• Establishes effective working relationships.
• Maintains quality control standards.
• Operates equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Displays experience in the food industry preferred.
• Works independently when necessary.
• Understands food safety and sanitation processes.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and walk distances.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age: 16 years.
• Previous customer service, retail, and money reconciliation experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions, and perform basic math.
• On-the-job training provided.
• ServSafe certification may be required depending on location, to be obtained within a specified timeframe.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on location.
