The Food Service Assistant position is assigned to the Nutritional Services Department. Work involves reading and interpreting information to make independent decisions regarding the accurate service of regular, consistency modified, and/or therapeutic diet modifications while meeting the prescribed service schedule. Employee may act as lead worker and assist in training other food service personnel. This employee may be involved in food production tasks. Work is reviewed by a Food Service Supervisor for skill in applying food handling standards and sanitation techniques. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Work schedule is 6:00 am to 10:00 am & 3:15 pm - 7:15 pm
