Job summary

Buc-ee's in Wharton, Texas is seeking an Assistant Food Service Manager to support operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will assist the Food Service Manager, oversee product offerings, and ensure outstanding customer service while maintaining quality and safety.

The role requires restaurant/retail or management experience, a focus on developing staff, and proficiency with MS Office and POS systems. On-site leadership with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Restaurant, retail or management experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant Food Service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Outlook) and POS systems.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with every aspect of operating the department in the manager's absence.
• Manage product offerings (Jerky, Smoked Meats, Sausage, BBQ, Bakery, Sandwiches, Grab and Go, Tacos, Burritos, Hot Dogs).
• Resolve customer issues quickly in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local foodservice laws and employment regulations.
• Oversee safety protocols and the accuracy of operating reports.
