Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL is seeking a part-time food service worker to support high-volume meal preparation and service.

Typical shifts are 2:30pm–6:30pm or 10:00am–2:30pm, with 50% workload and rotating weekends; there is potential for 7:30am–4:00pm shifts and on-site duties.

Qualifications include at least 2 years of food prep experience and Illinois Food Sanitation certification (or Serve Safe within 30 days if no license).

• No minimum education required.
• At least 2 years food preparation experience in a high-volume food service environment.
• Must have current State of Illinois Food Sanitation certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• If no valid license is in place prior to hire, Serve Safe Food Handler certification required to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Job description

Work Schedule:

• 50% part-time, day shift. Rotating weekends as needed
• Covers vacations working
• Most often 2:30pm-6:30pm or 10:00am-2:30pm
• Potential to work 7:30am-4:00pm
• You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
