Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Food Service Assistant position at Central Regional Hospital. This role involves preparing and serving food across various stations within the Nutrition Services Department, with opportunities for cross-training. Responsibilities include:

1. Checking patient trays and snacks for proper food items, correct portions, and preferences.
2. Delivering meals and snacks throughout the hospital.
3. Ensuring food safety standards are met.
4. Maintaining knowledge of modified diets and menu options.
5. Preparing meals and snacks accurately and attractively.
6. Interpreting diet orders and translating them into modified diet menus.
7. Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen utensils and work areas.
8. Managing waste and maintaining cleanliness in the department.

Work Schedule & Benefits

This position operates on a first shift (5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), with rotating weekends and holidays. It is eligible for the full State benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plans. The role is designated as Mandatory, requiring reporting during adverse weather events.

Salary

Effective January 1, 2025, the salary range will be $26,851 - $46,991 annually.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions in English.
