The Food Service Assistant supports the school’s food service program. The lunch and breakfast program at ECS is an extension of the environmentally-focused curriculum. By sourcing local farmers, using sustainable product, purchasing recycled or reusable trays and utensils, and patronizing local food service establishments, ECS has created a public school meal program unlike any other in Western Pennsylvania. The Environmental Charter School Lunch Program (ECSLP) provides a healthy, delicious, and sustainable (both agricultural and economic) meal within the guidelines of the National School Lunch Program.
$17.35/hour plus participation in 403(b) retirement plan after 400 hours of employment. Paid Time Off (PTO).

Clearances current within one year of hire date will be required. This includes Arrest & Conviction Disclosure, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34), and FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114). Mandated Reporter Training and Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) will also be required.
